In a not-so-inconspicuous part of Nevada, USA, Crossroads Campus lies. The time is set sometime in the near future. Students seem to gather here from around the continent, many even international now. The campus itself is about as big as a small city, with everything needed to support every child of every age. The grounds are full of Do-gooders, straight-A's, problem children, run-aways, criminals, thugs, the hopeless ones, orphans...everyone seems to have a story. A reason why they are at Crossroads. The divide in this place is not only by appearance or cliche highschool scenes...but by Sin and Virtue. By which one follows.
The school itself is an interesting concept. Headliners have begun calling it a "sub-society" just because it's so segregated. For a reason unknown, even to the students. Upon arrival students are implanted with a microchip in the back of their neck, on top of the spine. A student will not remember this event, but the technology is heavily used at Crossroads. From a computer, a student may be disabled and restricted from movement with a touch of a button. There are no bordering walls at Crossroads. Just this...invisible barrier that seems to be different for every person within it.
The Principle himself is never seen by any student. This fact alone makes the inhabitants of Crossroads very wary of a visit to the Principle's office, but strangely enough many typical rules go unenforced. Nobody knows what exactly merits one a visit to The Office, but they don't want to find out.The Vice Principle usually carries out the Principal's orders. Nothing is really...explainable at Crossroads. Yet, anyway. The moral of the school is to be a safe harbor for any and all types of children, even toddlers, and give them the education necessary for survival in this new age. Again, another unanswered question...how is it that they change tattooed rebels into white-collared workers, seemingly overnight? This school is by far the best behavior school there is and is also a decent normal school, not the best, but not the worst either. Students come here in many ways, first being a court order or maybe their parents were the ones that sent them here. They could have even wanted to go here or possibly they were orphaned, in which case they'd be sent here too. Yes, Crossroads has their own wonderful baby program and many more things.
Oddities are very frequent at this school, un-answered questions plentiful. There are many choices to be made, many secrets forming and being unlocked. Will you comply and choose to be blissful in ignorance, or will you rebel and let Sin guide you? Will Virtue lead you down a righteous path? Will you offer your hand or be a simple observant? What really makes sense?
The better question, perhaps is...who are you, really?
The possibilities are endless...
